In a future of political, economic and moral collapse, a genetically enhanced superhuman prototype named Max escapes from military confines and dwells amidst the decadent underground street life of *Seattle* to avoid government agents who want to bring her back into the fold. Searching for others of her kind who were scattered in the aftermath of her escape, Max encounters Logan, an idealistic cyber-journalist battling repression and corruption in post-apocalypse America. Eventually, Logan calls her to the highest part of her being and Max becomes his samurai as the pair takes on the ruthless power-brokers of the new millennium. Max and Logan's odyssey leads them closer to the secret of her past, deepening and complicating their relationship in the process. A group of genetically-enhanced children escape from a lab project. Years later we meet Max, one of the escapees who now works for a messenger service in the post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest. Dark Angel is such a cool show - it's one of my favourites now - I watch it every Monday (I live in New Zealand…)!!<br/><br/>Screen Goddess Jessica Alba (90210, Never Been Kissed) plays Max, a genetically-enhanced super-girl who escaped from Manticore (where her and all the other genetically-enhanced super-kids were being trained) as a kid - now she lives in the dark side of Seattle (I think) as a messenger.<br/><br/>The year is 2019 (or something) and they States is a 3rd world country, and the town Max inhibits looks pretty crusty. She's biker-messenger by day, and cat burgular by night, back-flipping and karate-chopping anyone and everyone who gets in her way.<br/><br/>Enter Logan Cale, one of Max's best friends and now boyfriend (played by real life boyf Michael Weatherly, even though he's 12 years her senior). She's also got her (lesbian) gal-pal Original Cindy (who has some of the funniest lines) and all her pool-playing co-workers.<br/><br/>It's fresh, it's new and Jess kicks ass! YOU GO GIRL! I felt that in the beginning it did have a slow start, as to most new series. I felt that as time past the overall acting got better. I think that if you were to watch all the episodes and not so much look at the acting, but at the plot line, it was great. I also noticed in a comment about her and the feline dna and heat cycles. Cats only go in heat about every 3-6 months. In the show she only went in heat like 3 times. Also, towards the end, after she was reintroduced to manicore again, things that should have been put in the plot line like not taking the medicine, should have been put out there, but wasn't. Also, the second season seemed rushed. I wish it had a better ending, and I would love to see it come back and have it play out.
